The Electric Lexus
Lexus has finally been working on an all-electric vehicle, as every one of its market competitors such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and more have done. However, this electric vehicle definitely is not the “Tesla killer” every other electric car claims to be. Instead, Lexus is building an electric vehicle for a niche market, based off a previous concept vehicle.
Behold the new Lexus EV concept, which is so new that they haven’t even come up with a name for it; based off the design of the Lexus LF-SA concept introduced back in 2015, this small, two-door hatchback is a completely different take for Lexus in the electric field. Even a statement from Lexus Vice President Koji Sato referencing the LF-SA states “We feel that our future could resemble this design.”
Not much more information is known on this new EV concept yet, as no aspect of the design has been fully greenlit by the higher-ups of Lexus. However, word on the street holds that a new infotainment utilizing dual screens on either side of the steering wheel, with likely touch compatibility and steering wheel controls, would ensure a truly modern design.
